Mowbray aims to land Mac

WEST BROM manager Tony Mowbray is chasing Dundee's Scotland Under-21 midfielder Kevin McDonald.

Mowbray has had the 19-year-old watched and is targeting promising young players to bolster his squad for the Premiership.

McDonald scored 11 goals for the Dens Park club this term and has caught the eye of Everton and Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Hearts striker Roman Bednar looks set to make his loan move to the Baggies permanent.

The Jambos hitman is aiming to put pen to paper in deal worth £2.3million.

Bednar said: "The gaffer told me he wants me to stay."
