PAUL JEWELL shrugged off Derby's new status as the worst team in Premiership history and insisted he's only thinking about next season.
Kenny Miller fired the Rams into a 19th-minute lead but strikes from Roque Santa Cruz, with a double, and Jason Roberts gave Rovers the points to leave the visitors unable to match Sunderland's previous record low of 15 points for a campaign.
Manager Jewell said: "It would have been nice to get six points from our last two games but on our form this season it wasn't going to happen.
"The important thing is to build for the Championship next season - we need to be mentally and physically stronger. The sooner we give the fans a team they deserve the better."
Rovers boss Mark Hughes said: "We've never been out of the top 10 and that's a huge achievement."
