Baggies bag Bednar deal

WEST BROMWICH ALBION insist they have first option on a permanent deal for on-loan Hearts ace Roman Bednar.

The striker has fired Albion towards the Premiership with 17 goals this season.

But Bednar, 25, has hinted a £2.3million move could be in doubt and he may look elsewhere - if Tony Mowbray's side don't act quickly to tie him down.

However, Baggies have rejected the claims.

A West Brom club spokesman said: "When Roman joined us on loan last Augustwe agreed a precontract deal both with Hearts and the player should we wish to acquire his services on a permanent basis."
