READING boss Steve Coppell had a dig at referee Mark Clattenburg after Marek Matejovsky was sent off for two yellow cards in the second half.

The Royals boss said: "We had two different refs. In the first half he was laid-back, in the second half he was a terror."

Matejovsky was booked for a late tackle on David Dunn and an innocuous block on Jason Roberts.

Coppell claimed Blackburn captain Ryan Nelsen got away with similar challenges in the first half. He said: "Their player should have been sent off after 20 minutes - he would have been in the second half.
