ALAN CURBISHLEY hailed teen supersub Freddie Sears after his late goal ended a run of three straight defeats.
Roque Santa Cruz had headed Rovers ahead in 10 minutes but Dean Ashton levelled for West Ham six minutes before the break.
Sears won it in 81 minutes after coming on as a sub.
West Ham boss Curbishley said: "The keeper saved our first shot but Freddie didn't stop.
"He has come on a bundle since pre-season."
