HITMAN Steve Howard grabbed a second-half hat-trick as Leicester moved out of the relegation zone by thumping 10-man West Brom 4-1 at The Hawthorns.

The striker scored from the penalty spot in the 59th minute then converted crosses from Lee Hendrie and Barry Hayles to seal a precious three points to relieve the pressure on Ian Holloway's side.

It was all square at 1-1 at half-time after Gareth McAuley cancelled out Slovenian international Robert Koren's opening goal for Tony Mowbray's promotion-chasing Baggies.
