DERBY boss Paul Jewell insists new boy Roy Carroll will take the Premiership by storm.
The Rangers reserve keeper finally joined the top-flight strugglers last Wednesday night.
Former Manchester United and West Ham No.1 Carroll made only one appearance for the Ibrox side but Jewell is sure he has snapped up a bargain.
And he insists the keeper will be worth the wait after the deal looked close to collapse as Gers struggled to find a replacement.
Jewell said: "I'm sure we are all pleased the Carroll transfer is finally completed - us, Roy, Rangers, the fans and the media.
"It dragged on and was getting on everyone's nerves but it's worth the wait because we have a top-class, hungry keeper."
