West Ham 2 Fulham 1
ANTON FERDINAND responded to a half-time ear-bashing from boss Alan Curbishley to plunge Fulham into the relegation mire.
The defender claimed the points for the Hammers when he fired a shot home in the 69th minute.
And afterwards Curbs revealed: "We didn't begin so well and Anton copped it at half-time. I wasn't happy with how he and Matthew Upson started.
"But they put it right in the second half. We wanted to cement our position in the top half and this was a big result for us."
Simon Davies put Fulham ahead in six minutes when his free-kick evaded everyone in the box and crept inside the far post.
Dean Ashton headed West Ham level in 28 minutes and was then twice denied by Cottagers keeper Antti Niemi. But the Finn could do nothing to stop Ferdinand's winner.
