ROSS COUNTY star Alex Keddie reckons the memory of lifting the Challenge Cup two years ago can spur his side on to a place in another final.
But the defender fears Morton will be out to make amends in today's semi-final after they were thrashed 3-0 in Dingwall on league duty last weekend.
County lifted the trophy in 2006 with a shoot-out win over Clyde and Keddie says they are desperate for more glory.
He said: "A lot of the guys who started that day are still here and will want to experience that feeling again. Those who weren't will be desperate to reach a final.
"But Morton will come out looking for revenge after last weekend and we will have to be at our best.
"We scored some great goals against Morton but this will be an entirely different game - cup matches always are."
Keddie's Challenge Cup winners' medal sits in a drawer at mum Anne's house with his Second Division gong. Now he wants to add more to the collection.
He said: "It's always good to get medals in your career and the Challenge Cup was my first at senior level so I will savour it.
"We want to get to the final again because it's like the Scottish Cup to teams outwith the SPL.
"We treat it as a big deal and I'm sure every other team does. It would be a massive achievement to win it again."
