Peterhead 6-0 Montrose

RAGING Jim Weir insists his side's woeful display is the most embarrassing result he's ever suffered.

The Montrose gaffer was fuming at his sloppy stars and says it's the worst he's felt since joining the club.

He said: "That's the first time I've been embarrassed by a performance.

"The goalkeeper made a terrible mistake for the first and he'll have to learn but we were totally unacceptable."

Martin Bavidge opened the scoring after 24 minutes when he robbed Rose keeper Mark Peat and tapped in.

Stuart Cumming then steered past his own keeper on the stroke of half-time.

Hitman Craig Gunn bagged a quickfire double before making it 5-0 from the spot in 68 minutes.

And Bavidge completed the rout in 78 minutes to wrap up a brilliant start to the season for the Blue Toon.
