Elgin 0-2 Cowdenbeath

BEAMING Danny Lennon praised his classy side after their polished display kicked off his managerial career in style.

The Beath player-turned-boss was delighted with this former team-mates' attitude in a comfortable win.

He said: "We were unfortunate not to be three or four up in the first half as we were fantastic.

"We started at a good tempo and looked comfortable throughout."

Darren McGregor opened the scoring in 14 minutes, poking the ball in off the post from six yards.

City's Mark Nicolson then headed wide from a Steven MacKay free-kick in a rare attack from the home side.

But with 10 minutes left Paul McQuade wrapped it up with a cool finish after some great play by sub John Ferguson.
