John Hughes calls for patience as Falkirk fall to fourth defeat in a row

FALKIRK boss John Hughes refused to blame his players despite his side's dismal start to the new SPL season.

Hughes' men followed up recent league losses to Rangers, Celtic and Hibs with another unwanted result after Dougie Imrie's late winner.

Bairns' fourth defeat on the trot leaves them rooted firmly at the bottom of the table - but Yogi is convinced his side can turn it around.

He said: "The performance was OK, the result was disappointing.

"I won't single anyone out though, as we win as a team and lose as a team. Our keeper Robert Olejnik kept us in the game with some great saves - but that is what he is paid to do.

"I can't ask the players to give me more. I have guys on my bench who aren't fit but are still putting themselves forward.

"Burton O'Brien and Stevie Lovell can only give us 15 or 20 minutes just now but are desperate to play. That shows their attitude and I'm sure the results will soon come."
