CELTIC winger Aiden McGeady is a target for Spanish team Espanyol.

The La Liga side have been watching his form for three months and will keep tabs on him for the rest of the season.

They have plenty cash to spend and will not be put off by the asking price in excess of £11million for the Republic of Ireland star. McGeady is contracted at Parkhead until summer 2011 but has made it known he would love to play in Spain at some stage of his career.

The tricky winger won a new army of fans with his performances against Barcelona in the Champions League and Barca defender Silvinho said: "McGeady has the kind of qualities required to play in La Liga. He is good and very quick.

"It would be good for him to come to Spain. He would learn more and become stronger by playing at this level."
