Experience: Sagnol Battles John Hartson
BAYERNMUNICH star Willy Sagnol says it would be the biggest disaster of his club's season if the German giants lost to Aberdeen. The French full-back believes Ottmar Hitzfeld's side should have too much quality for Jimmy Calderwood's side in Thursday's UEFA Cup clash.
Sagnol admits the Germans haven't even considered anything other than a victory over the Dons - and anything less would be a catastrophe.
The 30-year-old, who played against Celtic in the Champions League group stages in 2003, said: "We are clear favourites for this match and we're ready to confirm everyone's predictions.
"This isn't Celtic or Rangers we're playing and we have more experience and technical ability.
"They are a fighting team and we've been told by the coach about their great team spirit.
"But Bayern are back to their best this season, we feel reborn as a club. We want to win the Bundesliga and the UEFA Cup.
"I had a bad experience with France against Scotland and those defeats were a big surprise but nobody here has even thought about failure.
"To go out to Aberdeen would be the biggest disaster of our season."
