Ryan Jones: We're up with the best of them

PROUD skipper Ryan Jones reckons Wales have proved they belong among the world's best after a landmark 21-18 triumph over Australia in Cardiff.

Itwas their first win against a southern hemisphere side since 2005 and a great end to the autumn Test series following defeats by South Africa and New Zealand.

Shane Williams and Lee Byrne scored memorable first-half tries although fly-half Stephen Jones made the difference by kicking 11 points - including a late drop goal.

The Wallabies lost injured skipper Stirling Mortlock early but still grabbed tries through Mark Chisholm and Digby Ioane.

Jones said: "We're delighted and hopefully we'll kick on now.

"We played fantastic rugby and proved we are capable of doing it against the top sides.

"With our work ethic and coaches, the sky is the limit."

Meanwhile, England manager Martin Johnson bemoaned his side's indiscipline after they crashed 32-6 to New Zealand at Twickenham.

The All Blacks built a 12-3 half-time lead before Mils Muliaina ran in two tries and Ma'a Nonu added a third.

England spent a remarkable 33 minutes down to 14 men after having four players sin-binned.

Johnson said: "You're not helping yourself when you have 14 men for half the game.

"We have to be better. I put indiscipline down sometimes to mistakes. Our guys have to learn Test rugby is about pressure."
