Butler Did It For Luca

HANDICAP maestro Luca Cumani saddled the 6-1 joint favourites to finish first and third in Sandown's feature yesterday.

Ask The Butler triumphed in the betinternet.com Stakes with stable mate Swop a close third behind Lang Shining.

The winner is now 10-1 favourite for the Cambridgeshire and Cumani said: "It is a possibility for him but he must have fast ground.

"Swop ran a great race too - I don't like having two fancied horses in the same race and I was sad to see him beaten. The Cambridgeshire is very much a possibility for him too."

Sri Putra got up late under Philip Robinson to win the Group Three Solario Stakes for trainer Michael Jarvis (right).

The Oasis Dream colt produced a late challenge to score at 8-1.

Runner-up The Cheka (4-1) briefly appeared to have the race in safe keeping but Sri Putra came home by half a length.
