Crystal Clear For Stoute

IT'S approaching that time of year when it pays to follow fillies in form and CRYSTAL CAPELLA(3.20) certainly fits the bill as she has won her last two races by an aggregate of eight lengths.

Sir Michael Stoute's charge goes for the hat-trick in the Listed event at Goodwood and a 13lb hike for her York romp may not be enough to stop her.

Hopefully a fiercely competitive card will get underway with a Luca Cumani winner in the shape of CRUSOE'S RETURN (2.10).

This Selkirk colt doesn't look harshly treated on a mark of 93 for this handicap bow following three quiet runs in maidens.

TEMPLE OF THEBES(2.45), the first-ever winner at Great Leighs, has gone from strength-to-strength and this 6f specialist can land her third success of the campaign in the fillies handicap. GIGANTICUS (4.30) has been running with credit in several major handicaps this term and is sure to be knocking on the door once again in the toughest race on the card.

Meanwhile, up on the Westwood track at Beverley, I fancy DISPOL GRAND (3.40) to follow-up his cosy success at Musselburgh and defy a 4lb rating rise.

No world-beaters on parade at Yarmouth but GOLDEN BISHOP (4.40) will be carrying some of my weekend wedge as he drops to claiming company for the first time.

Contrastingly there will be wall-to-wall glamour at Deauville. I reckon the top-of-thebill Prix Morny is bound for Italy and crossborder raider LUI REY (2.15).
