DAVY RUSSELL brought Oscar Rebel with a perfectly-timed run to win the Bewleys Hotels Mares Hurdle at Punchestown.

Sneaking through on the inside the six-year-old stormed past Serpentaria on the run for home and battled on well.

The 6-1 shot, trained by Liam Burke, went on to beat the 5-2 favourite by four lengths with Moskova third.

There was a nasty looking incident on the turn for home when Give It Time slipped up as the horses scrimmaged for position.

Burke said: "She keeps surprising me."
