Unlucky 13 for off-form Lewis

LEWIS HAMILTON said sorry to his McLaren team last night after blundering his way through qualifying for today's French Grand Prix.

The Brit was already facing a huge taskwith a 10-place grid penalty from his pit crash in Canada.

And he'll now start in 13th after losing time running wide on turns and failing to match Ferrari rivals Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa.

World champion Raikkonen is in pole with team-mate Massa second.

Hamilton said: "It was a disappointing qualifying for me and I have to apologise to the team because I didn't do a good job at all."

In 792 races in Formula One only 24 have been won from 11th place or lower.
