Angela Park takes lead at US Women's Open

ANGELA PARK held a onestroke lead last night at the US Women's Open in Minnesota.

The 19-year-old Brazilian shot a six-under-par 67 in the second round and leads Finland's Minea Blomqvist, Korea's Inbee Park and Swede Helen Alfredsson going into the third day.

Heavy rain saw 36 players fail to finish their second round with only 74 making the cut which fell at four-over-par 150.

Among those who bowed out was the 1987 winner, England's Laura Davies, who slumped to a dismal 81 after opening with a first round 70.

Hawaiian teenager Michelle Wie also lost out after shooting for 10-over-par 156.
