ROSS KELLETT leads the Scottish challenge after the opening round of the New South Wales Amateur Championship in Australia.
The Colville Park teenager posted a one-under 70 and sits on the fringes of the top 20.
Australian champion Rohan Blizard stormed to the front with a course-record 63.
Title holder Gary Wolstenholme, the EnglishWalker Cup veteran, opened with a 69.
Former Scottish boys' strokeplay champion Shaun McAllister had to settle for a one-over 72 at the event played over the Pennant Hills and North Ryde courses.
