But Govan's most famous son is a great football manager and a fantastic ambassador for Scotland.

Just because he lives in another country does not mean that he stops being a Scot.

As a frequent visitor to his home country, Fergie knows the Union benefits both sides of the border.

Labour deserve the support of voters because of what they have already done for places like Govan.

But there is also much more that needs to be done.

Labour, with its policies for huge investment in education, looks the party most likely to make those improvements.
