Rough Justice

IT was wrong of Stephen Armstrong to drive his van at the hooded, tagged thug who had minutes earlier threatened to stab him in front of his children.

But does he really deserve to be jailed for almost four years?

His neighbours certainly don't think so.

Today, they bravely speak out in support of the father-of-eight who has ended up behind bars after taking on the gang of yobs who had been terrorising the area.

His sentence should be looked at again.

Prison should be reserved for the violent, drunken hooligans Stephen stood up to.
