HARD to believe it has been seven years since Berti Vogts gave Kevin Kyle the first of his eight caps.
Back then he had started 12 games in his entire career and scored a grand total of two goals.
One of his strikes was against Mansfield in Division Three and the other in the FA Cup against Jewson League giants AFC Sudbury.
In hindsight, the flak I gave Kyle was out of order and I feel I owe him a massive apology.
It was not his fault he was thrown in to something he was never ready for at that time. Now, though? Every time I clap eyes on him on TV he's a foot above the nearest defender.
He's now filling in his markers like an MP fills in expense claims.
If it was not for his seven in four games - including the winner against Inverness yesterday - Killie would have been neck deep in it.
Keep him in that form next season and managers will have some serious strategy problems..
