JAMES McCARTHY is right to stick to his guns and play for the country throwing their weight behind him right fromthe get-go.

The reason he's not playing for Scotland isn't that he chose the Republic of Ireland over us - it's because we were too dim-witted to take a hint and ask him until he'd gone.

The lad's integrity isn't up for question and he doesn't deserve a hard time from the stands.
