THE Beeb's "Through The Window" programme on Monday night as the transfer deadline passed without fanfare was nothing if not a laugh.

Particularly when host Jim Spence produced the greatest nonsequitur of all time as he asked for analysis of the big deals of the day.

"So lads - Robinho to Manchester City for £32.5m, Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United for £34.5m ... but what about that move for Soapy Soutar to Ross County?"

There is 100 per cent truth in the rumour that he does the show sitting on a bucket.
