Yet the coaches have worked on his confidence, his technique, his ability in the air, his tackling.

The former St Mirren man has nearly become a fixture as Gers battle for four trophies.

So for God's sake will someone there get him back to the primary school playground and teach him how to take a bloody throw-in?
