THE creation of a UK football team has formally been opposed by the football associations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, who are concerned it may compromise their individual FIFA status.

But the British Olympic Association has decided to press ahead.

Asked about the Welsh and Scots opposition, Seb Coe allegedly replied: "F*** em!"
