Jade Goody's cancer isn't for TV

JADE Goody is proof of the harm done to those plucked from obscurity and thrust into reality TV.

She's clearly suffered psychological damage since bursting on to Big Brother in 2002.

She now only feels alive staying in a fake house with people she has never met.

After being accused of racism towards Bollywood's Shilpa Shetty in Celebrity Big Brother, she needed to reinvent herself. Going into Bigg Boss - the Indian version hosted by Shilpa - aimed to do just that. Now she's told on camera she has cervical cancer and had three months to live if it hadn't been spotted.

I suspect plans for a reality show following her treatment are already on a TV executive's desk.
