U.S lecture is ultimate hypocrisy

AMERICA'S hypocrisy over Russian troops in Georgia is jaw-dropping.

How dare George Bush lecture anyone on how to conduct themselves when the US is in Iraq and Afghanistan?

We remember what the US did to unseat Salvador Allende and replace him with the dictator Augusto Pinochet in Chile.

Bush actually said: "There is no room for regime change by force in the 21st century." Eh? Am I hearing right? Has the US suddenly had collective amnesia?

We all know the US and the rest of the West have encouraged the Georgian president with promises of Nato membership.

This let the Georgians think they could test out the Russians...and that has proved to be one huge mistake.

Abba DVD is my Waterloo

WELL Mamma Mia! has really done the business with sales at record levels for the DVD...and yes, I was one of those who bought it. But not for me, for my daughters who love it. I would rather watch paint dry than Meryl Streep and Co warble through Abba's back catalogue but who am I to go against the masses? All I get from the DVD is great songs - not sung all that well - with a pretty rubbish story but if you want a fun singalong escape, then I suppose it's ideal. Read
