I TURNED off the telly because I couldn't bear any more details about the house of horrors in Austria.

The level of cruelty and depravity poor Elizabeth Fritzl and her children endured for the last 20 years is unimaginable.

A part of me gets to the point where the old saying "Hangin' is too good for him" seems to be true.

But I want her 73-year-old father Josef to live in a cell with no light and freedom till he's 100. No doubt he will do what other monsters like Fred West and Harold Shipman did by committing suicide... the coward's way out.

Let this guy rot and let society support this traumatised woman and her children and give them a decent life.

We all fear child predators but, for too many, the devil is much closer to home.
