For pity's sake, show just a bit of compassion

Hate For Mccanns Must End Family Horror 1

IT'S hard to believe it's a year since the abduction of Madeleine McCann.

The pain and loss her parents feel every day they are apart must only be increasing.

You can see it every time you look into her mum Kate's eyes.

I don't apologise for sympathising with Kate and her husband Gerry.

They did something wrong when they left their young kids alone and that is something that should never be done.

But they didn't deserve to have some monster break in and steal their girl.

I cannot believe the letters I receive when I write about the McCanns. The self-righteous vitriol is unbelievable.

It's as if people wanted this little girl to be taken to teach her parents a lesson.

I wish these folk would direct their anger at those who truly deserve it.

Tyrants such as Robert Mugabe who cheat and starve their own people or Bush and Blair who signed the death warrant for tens of thousands of men, women and children when they went to war in Iraq.

For the heartless few out there, don't bother sending me any more vicious comments. They go straight in the bin.

Hopefully the McCanns do the same.

TODAY is the third anniversary of the death of my mum Stella and it's still so hard to believe she's gone.

My friend Lynne warned me it took her three years to get back to anywhere near normal after the death of her lovely mum Christine. At the time, I thought she was exaggerating but I realise she was right.

I am better than I was but I will never be the same. I can still laugh, be happy and enjoy life but I still get overwhelmed by the loss. Many others feel the same.

As a family, we keep going because she would be furious if we didn't but she is still sorely missed.
