EVERYONE in Scottish football should applaud Willie Haughey for ploughing £2million into sponsoring the Scottish Cup.

Given the global financial crisis we're all experiencing it's wonderful that most of this much-needed cash will eventually filter its way through a host of clubs and benefit the game at the real grass roots level.
