And Another Thing..

FOOTBALL can often be a cynical game but when there are examples of terrific sporting gestures they deserve to be highlighted.

On Tuesday, Leicester replayed a cup tie against Nottingham Forest that had been abandoned when City's Clive Clarke took ill and nearly died with his side 1-0 up.

The replay began with Forest's keeper being allowed to score unchallenged from kick-off and this gesture by Leicester, who went on to win 3-2, was a touch of class.

Similarly, Cristiano Ronaldo hardly celebrated scoring in his old stadium against Sporting Lisbon out of respect for the fans - and got a standing ovation at the end.
