LIKE every other Scotsman inside the Parc des Prince on Wednesday night it was great to feel so much pride for the national team.

I also loved the fact three ex-Motherwell players were on the field for us.

Faddy's the one we're all talking about after his wonder goal but terrific to see Lee McCulloch and Stephen Pearson playing so well too.

It underlines how important it is for every club to put time, effort and money into youth development. Despite what some misguided managers have said recently, investment in a good youth policy is an investment in the future.
