Peter Mandelson compares Gordon Brown to Moses
BORN-AGAIN Peter Mandelson has stunned colleagues by comparing Gordon Brown to Moses - after the PM saved him from the wilderness.
The Business Secretary gushed: "People really do look to him like some Moses figure who is going to lead them away from this economic mess to the promised land."
Mandelson added: "I have said to Gordon there is a role for some of the Blairite heavy hitters outside the Government to play a role."
Ladbrokes have odds of 6/1 on John Reid returning and 12/1 on Charles Clarke or David Blunkett.
