THE father of a newborn baby has been stabbed to death in the street.
The 33-year-old and his 35-year-old brother were attacked at about 5pm on Friday.
The latter is in a serious condition in hospital.
Three men - aged 28, 39 and 50 - were arrested.
Last night, a friend of the victim said: "It's a tragic loss. I'm absolutely devastated."
Witness David Sykes, who owns a newsagents near the scene of the attack in Halifax, Yorkshire, said: "It was an argument between two fellas and it got out of hand."
A 16-year-old boy also died yesterday after being stabbed at a house party in Liverpool.
He was taken to hospital after police were called to the scene at 7am but medics were unable to save him.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder.
