SERIAL killer Colin Norris is fighting a bid to stop him nursing again.
Norris murdered four elderly patients and tried to kill a fifth by injecting them with massive amounts of insulin.
He was jailed for 30 years this month and the Nursing and Midwifery Council are set to ban him at a misconduct hearing.
Now his mother June Morrison has revealed Norris, 32, will battle against the move as he also appeals against conviction and sentence.
June, 52, of Milton, Glasgow said: "Colin's lawyers have been advised of this hearing but they will submit a letter to the council to say they are appealing against it.
"Colin won't appear himself because of the cost and security involved in getting him to London but he intends to appeal because he is not guilty of what they say he is.
"No matter how long he spends in prison, he will not admit to something he hasn't done.
"He has no intention of returning to nursing because, if he ever did, suspicion would be on him every time a patient died."
Norris killed Doris Ludlam, 80, Bridget Bourke, 88, Irene Crookes, 79, and Ethel Hall, 86, at two Leeds hospitals in 2002.
West Yorkshire police labelled Norris a "cold and arrogant" attention seeker.
