Sir Anthony Hopkins unveils the statue of Tommy Cooper
IT'S not every day you see an Oscar-winning actor sending himself up "just like that".
Welsh wizard Sir Anthony Hopkins delighted fans with a hilarious routine in tribute to Tommy Cooper, who died 24 years ago.
He rolled out some of Tommy's best gags before unveiling a 9ft £45,000 bronze statue in the magician's home town of Caerphilly in Wales.
Sir Anthony, patron of the Tommy Cooper Society, said: "He was the comedian's comedian because he was such a self-mockery artist."
