Stephen died aged 20 in a car packed with four friends.

Stephen, of Carluke, Lanarkshire, was on his way home from a nightclub in Hamilton when the Vauxhall Corsa he was traveling in span out of control.

It clipped a kerb and overturned six times on the bend of junction 6 of the M74 in February 2004.

Stephen was killed instantly after being thrown through the tiny back window of the car.

The young female driver was originally charge with careless driving but later let off on a technicality.
