Heather was 18 and in the car with her new boyfriend when he lost control of his Peugeot 106

The popular teen had taken a gap year to decide her career after training to become a nurse. 

Heather, from Perth, was also a keen footballer who once played with the St Johnstone girls.

Her cousin, driver Adrian Thompson and friend Sarah Dodd, 17, both survived the crash on the A9 Perth Western Bypass in September 2004.

Thompson was convicted of careless driving and fined £750 and banned from driving for a year.
