Former Scots Big Brother winner wants to become councillor

BIG BROTHER winner John Loughton wants to become one of Scotland's youngest councillors.

John, 21, is standing in Edinburgh's Forth district as an independent.

John said: "I was in the Scottish Socialist Party and, for about two hours, the Lib Dems. But I want to represent local people - not national parties.

"It's a bit like the Big Brother poll - only you don't have to pay to vote."

He will fight the election on November 6.
