Tears as 200 friends and family pay tribute to Moira Jones at memorial service

FAMILY and friends of tragic Moira Jones fought back tears yesterday at an emotional memorial service.

Nearly 200 people paid tribute to Moira, 40, whose body was found in Glasgow's Queen's Park in May.

Her brother Grant said afterwards: "It was extremely moving - Moira was loved."

Heartbroken parents Hugh, 69, and Beatrice, 67, travelled to Cathcart Old Parish Church from their home in Weston, Staffordshire.

Moira's Scottish uncles Willie, Ron and Ed choked with emotion as they remembered their niece.

Slovakian Marek Harcar, 32, is in custody after being extradited and charged with Moira's murder.

Moira will be laid to rest near her parents' home in two weeks.
