Brave dad defies cancer to walk daughter down aisle
A BRAVE dad defied crippling cancer to walk his daughter down the aisle.
John Carmichael feared he would not survive until Gillian's wedding.
He struggles to walk but ditched his stick and ignored the pain to give his girl away when she married Martin Connor in Glasgow.
John, 65, of Hampden, said: "It was the proudest moment of my life. I was determined I'd be walking Gillian down the aisle.
"Seeing her so happy made me even more determined to beat this."
John is helped in his battle with myeloma by his wife Isobel, 60, and Glasgow's Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.
