Father of murdered children remains 'critical' in hospital

A DAD suspected of killing his two young sons was still "critical" in hospital last night.

Indian-born Ashok Kalyanjee, 46, is under police guard at Glasgow Royal Infirmary as officers wait to question him about the killings of Paul, six, and Jay, two.

The bodies of the two boys were found last Saturday in a car parked at a beauty spot near Lennoxtown, East Dunbartonshire.

It is believed Mr Kalyanjee set himself on fire in a suicide bid.

The former taxi driver was estranged from the boys' mother Giselle Ross, 41, and failed to return the boys from an access visit.

Last night, Detective Superintendent Michael Orr praised the emergency services involved.

He added: "There is no doubt that we were all in some way affected by the tragic discovery."
