Husband of Senior Government worker is a heroin dealer

Exclusive Heroin Dealer Waves His Wife Off To Her Senior Government Job Then Gets On Mountain Bike To Ply His Deadly Trade

A cycling drug dealer sells bags of heroin to junkies...while his wife helps manage the Government's s430million housing budget.

Titus Shaw waves wife Leigh off to her work at the Scottish Government.

Then he gets on his bike...to peddle drugs to heroin addicts near his terraced home in Leith, Edinburgh.

Shaw, 42, delivered a s40 bag of the Class A drug to our undercover reporters - after going ballistic when they arrived on his doorstep. And our investigators tracked him as he blazed a trail across Leith, dishing out smack while perched on the saddle of his mountain bike.

One source said: "Shaw knows he has to keep his activities well away from the house because Leigh has a really responsible job.

"The last thing she would need is any heat because of what he does so he bought the bike to help him get around.

"But it's obvious what he's up to.

"Even his neighbours know but he seems to get away with it."

Working on a tip-off, our team approached his front door.

But he wasn't happy to see our man on his doorstep and demanded to know who had told us where he lived.

He raged: "Don't ever come to my door again - you should have got my number, don't come here again."

He then added: "If you are looking for kit, there's nothing doing just now but if you wait round at the Co-Op on Easter Road, I'll be round in 10 or 15 minutes."

True to his word, Shaw cycled up to our reporter on a bike 10 minutes later.

Wearing a black fleece top and jeans, with a baseball cap covering his face, he said: "I have a bag here - it's s40, is that OK."

Shaw handed over the tiny bag of the killer drug to our reporter and took the cash.

He then gave his mobile number to our man, adding: "Phone me in the future if you want any more and I will come and meet you.

"Don't come to the door again though."

Our investigators watched as Shaw made a string of journeys on his mountain bike throughout the day.

Each time he cycled off from his home and returned a while later, dumping the bike in his over-run front garden before disappearing inside to wait on further calls from drug addicts.

Leigh's life could not be more different.

She leaves the house every morning and takes a short bus ride to her respectable desk job at Victoria Quay on Leith waterfront.

Her department hands grants to housing associations across the country to build affordable homes for tenants.

Local authorities request from the government how much cash they need in each financial year and Leigh's department decides how much each council will actually receive.

As communities business manager, she plays an important role in the process.

A government source said: "There is no way someone who has such a responsibility should be mixed up with a guy selling Class A drugs.

"Junkies don't keep 9am to 5pm hours, so he must vanish for short periods and return with pockets full of cash."

The pair have been together for a number of years but tied the knot in Leith just last year.

A government spokeswoman said: "We do not comment on individual cases."
