SEX education for kids as young as eight has been toned down after protests from parents.
Primary school bosses were forced to change the lessons mums and dads claimed were too graphic.
The programme is being trialled in primary schools in Glasgow's east end.
MSP Margaret Curran said: "Some of the parents had concerns that the content was too explicit for that age.
"They thought certain words used in particular were inappropriate."
Parents are allowed to opt their children out of the classes.
Glasgow City Council said: "Sex education is always age sensitive and we are confident the content is appropriate."
