A BOY has been charged with assaulting three rival players during a violent match of shame.
The 12-year-old was quizzed by police after a chidren's football match nicknamed the Battle of Castlemilk.
The Sunday Mail revealed the assaults took place during a game between Celtic Juniors and Partick Thistle 1995 in Glasgow earlier this month.
It's claimed that the 12-year-old Celtic player attacked three Partick players after they racially abused him.
One of the three was taken to hospital for treatment to a face injury following the incident at the Barlia Sports Centre.
The fight sparked off a massive brawl involving about 30 parents from both sides, who flooded on to the pitch during the under-13s' game.
The case will be dealt with by the Children's Panel.
