Students' ID Theft Fear After Bungle

STUDENTS were urged yesterday to change computer passwords after their personal details went missing in the post.

The Scottish Funding Council apologised after surveys filled in by 1400 students were lost, raising fears of identity theft.

The students were from Aberdeen College, Adam Smith College in Fife, Anniesland College in Glasgow, Barony College in Dumfries, North Highland College and Telford College, Edinburgh.

SFC boss Roger McClure said: "I regret this and apologise to the students."
