AN SPL linesman accused of a sex attack on a woman will not face charges.
But firefighter Wes Boulstridge is still being investigated by his bosses.
The claim was made after he went on a fire safety visit to the woman's house.
He broke brigade rules by going there alone.
Police were called in and he was arrested and reported to the procurator fiscal on suspicion of indecent assault.
The fiscal is taking no action but Boulstridge, 39, remains suspended by Central Scotland Fire & Rescue.
Married dad-of-two Boulstridge, of Denny, Stirlingshire, is a fire crew manager.
The Crown Office said: "Criminal proceedings are not being contemplated."
Central Scotland Fire & Rescue said: "An investigation is taking place."
Boulstridge is president of the Stirlingshire Referee Association and was last year promoted by the SFA to category 3 specialist assistant referee, allowing him to officiate higher-profile matches.
